Swedish singer-songwriter Tove Lo brought the South Side Ballroom stage to life with her 21 song setlist for the Dirt Femme Tour, taking the crowd on an empowering journey through a wide variety of music from her discography. Don’t worry though, she made sure to throw in some of her biggest hits from way back like ‘Talking Body’ and ‘Habits (Stay High)’. The tour began with dates in Europe and the UK fall of 2022, and finally made its way to North America in 2023, following the release of her fifth studio album ‘Dirt Femme’ in October of 2022. The North American leg of her tour began in Nashville back in February, continuing on through major cities like Toronto, Chicago, and Portland, and after traveling through she has made her way back to Europe to perform at a mix of festivals and live music venues before making her way back to the states in September.
Tove Lo danced across the stage all night, starting the performance off with a bang singing ‘Pineapple Slice’, followed by ‘Attention Whore’ and ‘Cool Girl’. The audience sang along to the hits, feeling her positive energy radiating through the venue. Tove Lo speaks of the importance of feeling sexy in your own skin and loving yourself for who you are, relating to the crowd in a personal way with her own experiences growing up.
The visual aspect of her tour enhanced the set, a dreamy combination of soft colors and clouds that kept the crowd captivated. Interludes between a few of the songs gave her time for outfit changes too, spicing up the concert. All in all, the lively performance made sure viewers would be at the edge of their seats waiting for her return to Dallas.
